The first major stop is the dazzling White Temple (Wat Rong Khun), one of Thailand’s most recognizable structures. It is a local Thai artist’s ongoing project and is designed to reflect Buddhism and enlightenment principles. The White Temple consists of nine different white and intricate carvings and sculptures decorated buildings. It is also inlaid with small pieces of glass and mirrors glinting and shimmering in the sunshine, making it especially amazing.
Wat Rong Khun is an incredible masterpiece of a kind. It is considered this century’s most beautiful temple. The artist Chalarmchai Kositpipat’s masterpiece, famous for his extravagant and unique paintings related to Buddhism, Wat Rong Khun reflects the artist’s great visions of heaven, hell, and nirvana.
The next stop is the amazing Blue Temple (Wat Rong Suea Ten) (Chiang Rai Blue Temple). Unlike any other temple in the country, this is another stunning temple. The artwork of the temple is similar and just as fantastic as the White Temple can be found. But not only is it free to enter in at this one, but you can also take pictures in the hall of the ordination. See the amazing blue interior!
Now its time for lunch, where we will take a beak and relax before our last stop at the the Black House Museum (Baan Si Dam)
At the Black House Museum we will see Thai artist Thawan Duchanee’s interesting collection of artifacts. It created a lot of excitement and through these artworks it also gets new concepts. The Black House feels hidden and mysterious in every corner, always surprising, with new discoveries. Both projects are ongoing and will take decades of work to complete before the artists are satisfied. Unlike anything else we have seen, both are unique creations.
Everything good comes to an end and we will be going back to Chiang Mai where you will arrive at your hotel at around 8:00 pm.
