The one day tour starts with a pickup from your hotel between 8:00 and 8:30 in the morning. We will pick you up from Chiang Mai old city and a 3km radius for free. If you wish to be picked up from a location outside this area, please contact us so we can arrange that for an extra fee. Our tour guide will welcome you and then the trip by air conditioned minivan starts. The ride to our first stop, the elephant camp, takes around 1 hour.

Our next stop is a Karen hill tribe village. Here you will be able to see the Karen in their own surroundings. Doing their work, visiting a market or just relaxing in their hammocks. The Karen are a colorful tribe so it’s a great photo opportunity here as well.
When we’re finished here, it’s time for a one hour trek around the Mae Wang and Sanpathong area. The trek is suitable for any reasonably fit person and families are more than welcome. Our experienced trekking guide will show you the local flora and fauna and guide you through rice paddies, over hills and past small rivers. Enjoy the dense forest and the open areas where Thais prepare their rice fields. After the one hour trek we arrive at the Mae Wang waterfall, where you can go for a refreshing swim. Don’t forget to bring a swimming suit!
After enjoying a cooldown at the waterfalls, our van will be ready to bring you to a restaurant. Enjoy a fresh Thai set menu lunch here and gather some energy for the final part of the tour. If you need vegetarian or halal lunch options, please contact us so we can arrange that for you.
Our last stop of the day is the Mae Wang river. Here we board a traditional bamboo raft for an hour raft down the river. Steering the raft is not necessary as there are many experienced locals who know exactly how it works. Your job is to sit down and relax and view the river banks while we slowly make our way to the end point.
Between 15:00 and 16:00 it’s time to board our van for the return journey to Chiang Mai. The ride back should take around an hour. Arrival at your hotel or other drop off point in Chiang Mai should be no later than 17:00, depending on the traffic. Enjoy this amazing easy trekking trip and book it online here!
