What to expect on this tour
The day starts with a pickup by air conditioned van from your hotel or guesthouse in Chiang Mai. The scenic ride to Mae Taeng river takes around 1 hour and takes you through the valleys and over the hills of North Thailand. Enjoy the surroundings as we make our way up north. When we arrive at the rafting location it’s time for a safety briefing. This rafting trip is absolutely safe with over 16 years of experience and 0 accidents. Not because of sheer luck, but because of the commitment of the crew to the highest safety standards. Every boat has its local guide and river guides from the area are standby in case something happens.
Then it’s time for lunch. We enjoy a Thai lunch with drinks (vegetarian options available) while we prepare for the rafting experience!

The rafting tour is classified as level 4 on the international scale of river difficulty. This means the following:
- Whitewater
- Medium waves

No need to worry, our guides are professionals who will take care of you and will get you down the rapids safely. Next to that, we have full accident insurance for all our customers (and never had to use it). When we arrive at the bottom point of the river, a car will take you back to the rafting camp where we started the day.
