Half day & evening tour
The tour starts with a welcome drink and snack. We visit a local market to show you the products of the region. Learn about the different ingredients of curry pastes or any other Thai sauce and the different meals we can cook with them. Then it’s time to head to our organic farm, where we pick the herbs and vegetables for the dishes you wish to cook. All produce is organic here!
When we arrive back at the farm, it’s time to start cooking! Everyone has it’s own cooking station and we make sure the groups aren’t too large. That way our English cooking teacher can help you get started. You can cook 5 dishes from these 4 categories: appetizer (spring rolls), curry pastes, curries, soups and stir-fried meals. If you can handle it, you can make it as spicy if you want. If you want it mild, that’s possible too. And the best of all: you can eat your own creations! To make it easy for you we give you a recipe book you can use when you are back home. Show off your cooking skills to family and friends! The morning tour ends with a return transfer to Chiang Mai, where you should arrive no later than 14:00 for the morning tour and 21:00 for the evening tour.
Full day tour
After arriving at the organic farm it’s time for a short introduction and welcome drink with a snack. We then visit a local market to see the products from North Thailand. We’ll teach you about the various ingredients used for typical Thai dishes as Pad Thai, curries or spring rolls. We then head to the organic farm for a guided tour around the plants and vegetables. Try out the herbs and their specific tastes. Remember that everything at this Thai cooking class is organic!
On arrival back at the kitchen it’s time to start cooking at your own cooking station. Our English speaking instructors will help you with any question you have. They are here to teach so ask away. On the full day tour you can choose 7 dishes out of these 6 categories: appetizers (Thai spicy salad and spring rolls), curry pastes, curries, soups, stir fried meals and desserts. You choose how spicy you want it: from mild to mouth firing spicy is all possible. You will also receive a recipe book so you can retry cooking at home and show off your skills to family and friends. On top of that we will take a lot of pictures and put them on Facebook for you to download when you get back home.
The tour ends with a transfer back to Chiang Mai or a 3km radius around it. You should arrive there at around 16:30. Loaded with new cooking skills!
